How Much Space?
Remember that there is a huge variety in what pools are out there. There are all kinds of sizes, shapes, styles, and depths you can pick from to find something that matches your needs. Typical pools range in 14 to 20 feet wide and 28 to 40 feet long, so you’re going to want to make sure your installation site has at least that much room (but much more is good for having some breathing room). Just remember that you don’t want to take up all of your yard space with a gigantic pool; having some space for lawn chairs or a gazebo can go a long way in making a backyard feel complete.

There may be physical restrictions when it comes to installing your new pool. This could be something like an underground septic tank or utility lines that make installing a pool difficult, so you may need to have your yard surveyed. Other restrictions may include sloped properties, where hills can make the pool installation process exceedingly difficult or in some cases even impossible.
