Fountains/Bubblers
Fountains and bubblers are like siblings—they’re similar, but they’re not quite the same. Bubblers aren’t like the decorations you see in aquariums that send up columns of bubbles. Instead, they’re more like small fountains that send up a jet of water, and they are often installed in the shallow area of a swimming pool, such as the steps or a tanning ledge.
Fountains are the big brother of bubblers. They are significantly larger, and they are usually designed to send up in a symmetrical, aesthetically pleasing pattern. They are typically installed in the deeper areas of the pool.
Jets
Laminar and deck jets are great luxury water features for any pool. These are typically installed around the edge of the pool, with the jet spraying water at an angle so that it lands in the main body of your swimming pool. These look really cool, and they can be installed with LED lighting for a nighttime light show that makes your swimming pool look even cooler. As an added bonus, this is also a great safety feature!
Spouts/Scuppers
Spouts and scuppers are installed along the wall of the pool, but they’re unique because they are installed above the water line. Spouts are often metal fixtures, but sometimes they’re covered with a sculptural facing for added effect. Scuppers, on the other hand, are wide and look like small waterfalls. These don’t just add visual interest—they also offer the sound of water hitting water. This can actually be a very relaxing sound for many people, making spouts and scuppers a worthwhile luxury addition to your swimming pool.
